Course Offerings

Our department is known on campus as being open and friendly. Twenty faculty guide 40-50 undergraduate concentrators and 40-50 graduate students in a colloborative and fun learning environment. We are nationally recognized for excellence in teaching and research.

In the most recently available survey (for the period 1977-1986) by the NRC's Office of Scientific and Engineering Personnel, our Department was among the top six in the U.S. in productivity of undergraduates who went on to obtain a PhD degree.
