Hello! I am Chris Havlin, a PhD candidate in the Solid Earth Dynamics group in the Department of Geological Sciences at Brown University. My research utilizes numerical and theoretical tools to investigate how the migration of melted rock affects the evolution of the lithosphere and asthenosphere.
Though my research keeps me tied to the lab, my hobbies keep me in close contact with rocks and I've collected some interesting photos over the years. A few of the photos are hosted here, but I also have a geophototravel blog, gneissviews.blogspot.com. You can also follow me on twitter at s_i_r_h_c.
