Assistance in locating primary data sources relating to specific planetary missions or planets and guidance for locating needed processing tools.

Creation of derived products

Compilation and creation of limited secondary products for research or educational purposes--maps, posters, animations, 3D printed products, virtual reality and full dome.

Presentations for visiting groups

Although a reference center for research, informal presentations of historical or current planetary data for visiting school or other interested groups can be arranged. If more formal presentations are desired, arrangements can be made for talks by Planetary faculty, staff, graduate students or Rhode Island Space Grant fellows.

reference collection

The Northeast Planetary Data Center collection was built as a depository for mission products, participating researchers as well as donated archives.  We welcome historically relevant materials (historical documents, data, etc.) related to planetary geology.

image and display consulting

Assistance to museums and galleries for appropriate image selection and exhibitions related to NASA’s missions to study planetary surfaces.

The Center may also be used as a venue for media interviews and videotaping of planetary news items or programming. Personnel also can assist in identifying appropriate background materials and supporting images for press events.
